Reminder Schedules
Introduction
This guide explains how to use the Reminder Schedules page in My Home Plan to automate sending payment reminders relative to installment due dates.
Accessing the Page
- From the left sidebar, go to Reminders.
- Click Reminder Schedules to open the scheduling view.
Navigating the Page
- Breadcrumbs: Shows Reminders / Reminders Schedules.
- Toolbar: Button + Add Reminder Schedule to create a new rule.
- Schedules Table:
- Offset Amount – Number of days to wait before/after a due date.
- Offset Direction –
BEFOREorAFTERthe due date. - Reminder Type – Channel used (e.g., WhatsApp).
- Status –
activeorinactive. - Actions – Edit or Delete a schedule.
- Loading Indicator: Spinner while data loads or actions are processing.
- Confirmations: A confirmation dialog appears before deleting a schedule.
- Error Banner: A red alert appears at the top if an operation fails.
Key Features
- Automated Triggers: Schedules define when reminders are sent relative to installment due dates.
- Multiple Channels: Currently supports WhatsApp (with room for email/SMS/push as needed).
- Fine-Grained Control: Activate/deactivate schedules without deleting them.
- Safe Deletes: Deletions require confirmation.
Creating or Editing a Schedule
- Click + Add Reminder Schedule (or Edit on an existing row).
- In the modal:
- Delay (days after due date): Enter an integer greater than 0.
- Channel: Select the reminder channel (e.g., WhatsApp).
- Status (edit only): Set to Active to enable the rule or Inactive to pause it.
- Click Save Reminder.
How Offsets Work
- Offset Amount is the number of days used with the Offset Direction to time the reminder relative to the installment due date.
- Examples:
3 BEFORE→ Reminder goes out 3 days before the due date.5 AFTER→ Reminder goes out 5 days after the due date (for overdue nudges).
Note: In the current UI, the create dialog focuses on "days after due date"; when editing, you can toggle status. Direction may appear as capitalized (
BEFORE,AFTER) in the table.
Common Tasks
- Add a pre‑due reminder (e.g., 3 days before):
- Add schedule → set Offset Amount to
3, Offset Direction toBEFORE, choose WhatsApp, save.
- Add schedule → set Offset Amount to
- Add an overdue follow‑up (e.g., 5 days after):
- Add schedule → set Offset Amount to
5, Offset Direction toAFTER, choose WhatsApp, save.
- Add schedule → set Offset Amount to
- Pause a rule temporarily:
- Click Edit → set Status to Inactive → Save Reminder.
- Delete an obsolete rule:
- Click Delete → confirm in the dialog.
Troubleshooting
- “Offset amount must be greater than 0”: Enter a positive number in the Delay field.
- I don’t see my new schedule: Wait a moment; the list refreshes after save. If not, reload the page.
- Can’t delete: Confirm the dialog and ensure you have the required permissions.
- Channel options are limited: Only channels enabled by your organization are shown.
